The heart is known to be the center of spiritual being. The heart is also the place where the physical body and the spiritual body come together in unity. It represents the "central wisdom of feeling as opposed to the head-wisdom of reason." The heart represents compassion, understanding, peace and freedom. It is also asymbol for love. Often known as the seat of emotions, the heart is synonymous with affection.
